- Is selling really free?
- Yes. There is no monthly fee, no subscription, and no trial that turns into a charge. You can list as many products and services as you like. Njuru earns a 6% Processing and Trust fee only when a buyer pays you through Njuru checkout.
- Is there a limit on how many items I can list?
- No. Every seller can list an unlimited number of products and services.
- How do I get a branded storefront?
- A registered business gets one on signup, at no cost. Several shopfronts, each with its own web address, or a custom domain are arranged with our team: get in touch and tell us about your business.
- How do seller fees work?
- One Processing and Trust fee of 6% applies when a buyer pays through Njuru checkout, alongside Stripe's own payment processing which we pass through at cost. It is the same for every seller, it funds fraud scoring, buyer protection, and dispute handling, and it is never charged when no sale happens. Full details live in our Terms.
- Can I sell subscriptions or charge monthly?
- Yes, once your payouts are connected. Set a listing's price to bill monthly, quarterly, or yearly, or add recurring options with their own features. Buyers subscribe through Njuru and manage everything from their account.
- Do you handle taxes?
- Stripe Tax is enabled on every checkout and sellers receive a full breakdown per order. Marketplace tax obligations vary by jurisdiction. We provide the data, your accountant files.
- What about Njuru Gives donations?
- Shoppers, individuals, and businesses can all opt in. Pick a cause you care about or nominate any 501(c)(3) by name and EIN, and round up your orders to it. Everyone who gives earns a donor badge, we collect the proceeds through the year, and a yearly check goes to the chosen organization. 100% reaches the nonprofit; Njuru takes no fee on charitable amounts.
- Do buyers get anything back?
- Yes. When a buyer pays through Njuru, a share of our Processing and Trust fee comes back to them as Njuru Points, redeemable toward future purchases, on top of the badges they earn the more they shop and review.
