Our commitment
Njuru is committed to making technooptics.com, and the websites and apps of every brand and venture in the Njuru group, including Advottic, Rolls & Digs, Optics Studio, and Optics Capital, usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We design and build with care and we treat accessibility as a continuing practice rather than a one-time check.
Standards
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium. The same target underpins relevant accessibility laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA, USA), the European Accessibility Act, and the UK Equality Act 2010.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML and meaningful headings.
- Provide visible focus states, sensible tab order, and keyboard support for all interactive elements.
- Maintain colour contrast at WCAG AA minimum and avoid colour as the only means of communicating information.
- Provide text alternatives for non-text content (images, decorative marks, icons) and label form fields properly.
- Honour the user’s motion preferences (
prefers-reduced-motion), colour-scheme preferences, and zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality. - Test with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA), keyboard-only navigation, and zoom levels during development.
Known limitations
Accessibility work is never finished. If you discover any barrier , whether it is unlabelled content, low contrast, a keyboard trap, a confusing motion effect, or anything else, we want to hear about it. We will respond and prioritise a fix.
Tell us about a barrier
Please email accessibility@njuru.com with as much detail as you can share: the page or feature, the device and browser you were using, what you expected, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 business days.
Alternative ways to reach us
If the website itself is the barrier, you can also reach us by email at hello@njuru.com or by phone at +1 763-250-1234, weekdays during Central Time business hours.
